Trump threatens Mexico: 25% tariffs and military action against cartels if illegal border crossings continue. The President-elect’s stark warning to Mexican President Sheinbaum Pardo marks his first major diplomatic move since winning the election.
President-elect Donald J. Trump was recently the winner of the U.S. President election in America. He will officially take the reins of power when he is sworn-in as the 47th President on January 20th, 2025. Although he has yet to take power, President-elect Trump is already causing big changes in how many countries previously took advantage of a weak President Biden allowed an open-door policy at the U.S. border by allowing the entrance of millions of illegal immigrants.
Trump disclosed last week that during a phone conversation with the President of Mexico, Mrs. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, that he informed her he would strengthen the U.S. southern border with Mexico by no longer allowing the illegal flow of immigrants coming from that country into the U.S. He also stated that if Mexico did not cooperate by stopping these illegals to travel through Mexico into the U.S. that Trump would impose a 25% tariff on any product coming from Mexico into the U.S. Also, Trump would said he would instruct the U.S. military to conduct raids into Mexico to take out the leaders of the criminal gangs called “cartels” which currently are accused of organinzing and profiting from the hordes of illegals, and smuggling them into the U.S. open border. Additionally, Trump told the Mexican President that if she did not cooperate that he would release all the information that his C.I.A. and F.B.I. intelligence sources had that proved the Mexican political leaders especially the President were receiving bribes and illegal payments from the cartels.
The Mexican President released a statement on November 27 pushing back on Trump saying that she would also consider making any import to Mexico coming from the U.S. have a tariff as well. However, later in a new released statement from President Trump on November 27 he said that he spoke with the President of Mexico and in a complete turnaround, she has agreed to fully support Trump and will stop all immigrants in Mexico and not allow them to come up to the U.S. Border. It is quite amazing what President-elect Trump was able to accomplish even before he is officially in power. Trump was able to effectively shut down illegal immigration at the southern border which is an accomplishment that the current President Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, the supposed “border czar” were unable to do. By many counts, the failures of the Biden/Harris regime were so bad that it is estimated that over 20 million immigrants crossed into America illegally.
