Over 1,000 classic cars dazzle at Thailand’s Chang Classic Car Revival 2024. The free event drew 10,000 global visitors to witness what’s being called ASEAN’s largest-ever classic vehicle parade.
The Chang Classic Car Revival 2024 opened its doors to the public with free admission on Saturday and Sunday (November 23 & 24) at the Chang International Circuit Race Track in Buriram, Thailand. This sixth-annual event showcased an impressive gathering of more than 1,000 classic, rare, and collectible vehicles, drawing over 10,000 attendees from around the globe.
The main highlight of the event was the Classic Car & Bike Parade, a spectacular showcase touted as the longest and most impressive in Thailand and ASEAN. Featuring a stunning array of legendary vehicles from various eras — including classic cars, retro models, and supercars — the parade created an unforgettable moment in classic vehicle history. The event was also broadcast live online, connecting classic-car enthusiasts from around the world.
This year, participants from Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries aimed to showcase car racing as well. There were several highly competitive races of the vintage cars at very high speeds on the closed track! The event has effectively become a platform to stimulate both the economy and tourism, solidifying Thailand’s position as a hub for speed and motorsport culture.
Adding to its appeal, the event was attended by many celebrity collectors, including Mario Maurer, a famous Thai superstar; Janji, a Thai actress; Na Nake, a renowned MC; Puri Hiranprueck, a Thai actor; Pong Kapol, a radio broadcaster; Supachai Chaided, a football player, and members of the Buriram United Football Club.
Visitors also enjoyed unique experiences such as the Pit Walk, which provided a rare opportunity to admire up close an extensive collection of rare classic cars in the pits and garages. Another exciting attraction was the Grid Walk, where attendees could view an impressive lineup of vehicles along the starting grid on a world-class racetrack — perfect for capturing memorable photos.
In addition to these highlights, the event featured a range of activities, exhibitions, and vendor booths offering car accessories, decorations, and local delicacies from Buriram’s restaurants.
The success of this celebration of classic cars has drawn significant attention from enthusiasts and received a warm response from countries across the region, further solidifying its reputation as a must-visit event for automotive lovers.
